Andy Wetson
Andy first got involved with DJs and dance music in 1992 whist working in a small record store based in a popular nightclub in Earl's Court. This shop was owned by a (then moderately unknown) north London based record label called Almighty. This led to him working full-time for Almighty, initially as a sales and marketing executive, but then as label manager. He quickly moved on to managing Almighty's production team making the 'Almighty' brand a global phenomenon in pop remixers. In a 6 year period they remixed an impressive list of international names such as Cher, Anastacia, Enrique Iglesias, Kylie Minogue, Diana Ross & The Supremes, LeAnn Rimes, Deborah Harry, Shania Twain, Donna Summer, Sugababes, Westlife, Elton John, Shakira, Usher, Pet Shop Boys, Agnetha Faltskog, Girls Aloud, Steps, Dannii Minogue, Louise and Pink. Andy left Almighty in 2005 having worked for them for over 12 years.
After a few months working at top DJ promo company Power Promotions Andy then joined CD Pool as label manager in the summer of 2005. He is now responsible for compiling all of CD Pool's commercial discs as well as the twice monthly White Disc promos. He also contributes to the digital store Gaydar Radio Jukebox, programming the home page and sourcing content.
Today Andy is a successful club promoter and DJ on the London gay scene as well as managing remix/production teams such as 7th Heaven & Club Junkies (which he is one half of), Soulshaker, Bassmonkeys and Yomanda. His teams produce a lot of remixes that appear often as exclusives on CD Pool's 'REMIX' disc. This disc was Andy's brainchild!
In addition Andy is a scout for Ministry Of Sound as well as advising and assisting several other labels with remix packages.
